Audemus
The Great Seal of the State of Alabama contains historically significant symbols, most importantly the State Motto, "Audemus Jura Nostra Defendere", or "We Dare Defend Our Rights". In this age of central government encroachment into every area of American life, the constant attack upon personal responsibility and liberty, this Motto serves to remind us that it is our responsibility to maintain those precious gifts from God through our forefathers. Do not trade this heritage for a new slavery!
